What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health that takes into account the body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is based on the Naturopathic principle that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself.

Naturopaths aim to treat the underlying causes of illness and disease. Treating each person as an individual and treating the whole person, not just the symptoms being experienced. Naturopaths use a range of methods including herbal medicine, dietary and nutritional advice, lifestyle advice and flower essences.

Some of the conditions that are able to be alleviated by Naturopathy are fatigue, stress-related symptoms, digestive complaints, PMS, aches and pains, and immune support.

What can I expect in an initial consultation?

Initial appointments are a time for us to discuss your presenting complaint/s, personal medical history and the health journey you have been on up until this point in time, no matter where you may be on your journey. This will be a time for you to tell me about your health goals and what you would like to gain from our sessions together. My hope is that you leave this initial appointment feeling empowered within yourself to begin to make changes to support your optimal health.

What is the process to book?

If you would like to find out if naturopathy is for you, you may like to book a complimentary discovery call first, which can be found through the online booking system. During this call we will discuss your health complaints and goals.

If you know you would like to book, you can do this by booking an initial naturopathic appointment via the booking system. I offer in-person and online. Once you are booked in you will receive an email with an intake form. Allow around 30 minutes to fill in this form and submit it. The form will go through your history, what you would like to address, an overview of your diet, lifestyle factors and family medical history.

During the appointment, we will go into further depth about your presenting complaint, and then I will discuss treatment options with you and how you feel these suggestions will fit into your lifestyle. This is a collaboration between the two of us. We will book you in for a follow-up within a couple of weeks depending on your health goals. I will create a prescription and treatment plan which I will email to you within 24 hours of your appointment.
